Building a strong bond with your customer requires being in constant touch with them and keeping them updated about your business and offering at all times. To do this one of the methods that can be applied to create such a bond is via storytelling. Now, storytelling isn’t just for gatherings and social meets but also for engaging your customers to make them have a connection and care about your business.
All businesses might not have a story to tell. But in case you do not have a story, all you need to do is figure out what makes your business so special and there it is.
For example, Rashna decided to make clothing for dogs and donate a part of her proceeds to the animal shelter. Now while communicating about her business to the customers, she can either say that she sells fashionable clothing for dogs which are available in 8 different styles. Or say that she started the business to help the animal shelters. Each product sold will help provide a better home and facility to the dogs in need.
In the above scenario, the latter part will be more meaningful for a customer and will instantly create a bond with her as she talks about what inspired her to start this business.
Check out this post which talks about the two different ways to approach your business story.
